FUTA APPOINT FUWAPE AS A NEW VC

Fuwape see it @www.availablejobnews.com The Governing Council of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) has appointed Prof Joseph Adeola Fuwape as the Seventh substantive vice chancellor of the institution following the retirement of embattled Prof Daramola in controversial circumstances. The Council presided over by the Pro-chancellor, Senator Joseph Waku, ratified the appointment at its special meeting held on Thursday May 18, 2017. According to a letter of appointment signed by Senator Waku, Prof Fuwape’s appointment, which takes effect from Wednesday May 24, 2017, is for a single term of five years. Prof Fuwape of FUTA’s Department of Forestry and Wood Technology was educated at the University of Ibadan (UI) where he obtained his B.sc Forestry in 1979, M.Sc. Wood Products Engineering, 1982 and Ph.D. in Wood Products Engineering, 1984. He had his Post-Doctoral research in Wood composite system, University of North Wales. Bangor between1991-1992. Foreign Education Proffers Solutions To Nigeria’s Issues – Netherlands’ Envoy

THE Head of Netherlands Representation in Lagos/Deputy Head of Mission, Abuja, of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Michel Deelen, has said the acquisition of foreign education by Nigerians should be used to proffer solutions to the challenges facing the country. Deelen, who made this known at an interactive session with journalists on the forthcoming Study in Netherlands fair, said, if rightly applied, the combination of the exposure and education acquired would be of great benefit to Nigeria. His words: “We focus a lot on educational programmes as our way of promoting the relationship with Nigeria. Education in Netherlands is taken seriously by the government and that accounts for why our universities and education system are highly ranked globally. “The main thing here is exposure and how it can be used to positively transform Nigeria. 2017 JAMB Cut-Off Announcement - Track It Here

The official 2017 JAMB Cut-Off Marks for admission into Nigerian Tertiary Institutions will be announced on this website. We are however, still awaiting the official announcement of this year's cut-off marks. The JAMB cut-off marks is the minimum score that you MUST have obtained to gain any admission into any institution. Last year, the official JAMB cut-off mark was pegged at 180. This meant that no institution was allowed to give admission to any candidate that did not score 180 or above.
